The bag-making company is a small-scale company that works according to traditional methods. It dates back to 1995 and is conducted by Hermine van Ziel, bag-maker.
Within the bag-making company we process several kinds of high quality leather. Each bag is made individually, applying traditional techniques, as a result of which the greater part of the activities is carried out by hand. We are specialized in the manufacture of single pieces and small series, and have ample experience in processing special types of leather such as e.g. ostrich leather and reptile leather.

Its offer consists of three components:

• restoration of antique suitcases and bags
• a private collection
• costum made bags

In the restoration of suitcases and leather goods, authenticity and original stylefeatures are the starting point. We for instance line suitcases once again with a classic linig or again provide them with an authentic looking handle; restoration of antique bags made of special kinds of leather is also possible.

In our private collection, the emphasis is on simplicity in shape and on functionalism. The bag-making company uses a number of models that are based on classic models, such as the doctor's valise, the cartridge bag and the clipper bag for files. We exclusively make small series of bags, in which per bag variations are applied. because of this, you are assured of a unique consumer article. A model from our private collection can be adapted according your wishes. it is you who decide about the size, the division of the inside of the bag, and the colour combinations.

Your specific wishes are the starting point for the manufacture of a bag.

This may concern:

• copying your favorite bag in a specific colour
• a bag of a special size and/ or an adapted inside
• a bag for equipment/instruments or a special division for e.g. tools.
